Hosanna in the highest

I watch as my children play.
Their pure, innocent spirits—
the way they move, so freely, so fully—
lost in their joy, as if nothing else exists.

The spring sun beams down, golden and warm.
A gift today—so warm they played for hours.
My eyes are heavy now, hot and tired.
Sleep will be deep tonight.

And in that stillness,
my thoughts drift to the Savior—
and the painting I’ve been working on.

I whisper, “Hosanna…”
and close my eyes.

And all at once,
I can almost feel what the multitude must have felt—
eyes fixed on the Son of God,
just as mine rest upon my babies.

Pure.
Innocent spirit.
The way He moves.
His mission.

but in meekness—fulfilling prophecy, bringing peace.

and follow Him
